Inwood Tablecloth Gemach

Tablecloths to borrow for your simcha.

Browse the inventory, reserve up to three tablecloths, and pick them up the Wednesday or Thursday before your simcha — we set which one a week or so ahead and email everyone. Bring them back the Tuesday after. A donation keeps the gemach going and brings in new cloths.

Tablecloths rotate quickly, so what's available depends on your date. Tell us when your simcha is, and we'll show you exactly what's free that week.

The gemach lends for private simchas only.

We don't lend for shul events, school events, or any other organizational or communal event. There's no way for us to check — it's an honor system, and reserving means you're agreeing to it. Please keep to it, so that the cloths stay available for the neighbors making a simcha.

The gemach lends only in the Five Towns, Far Rockaway and the surrounding neighborhoods.

We're sorry, but we can't accommodate a simcha further out than that. The turnaround is very quick — cloths go out Wednesday or Thursday and are due back with us the Tuesday after — and the ones that travel further don't make it home in time for the next borrower. If you're close by and not sure whether you count, email and ask.

Pickup and drop-off are around the back of the house, not the front door — through the side gate, into the backyard, and down the outdoor stairs to the basement.

Yitzchak ben Shlomo

This gemach is dedicated l'ilui nishmas Yitzchak ben Shlomo, z"l.

A father and a Saba, warm and happy, always. Nothing made him happier than a simcha in the family and the nachas that came with it.

May his joy be in your simchos too.
